2004-02-02 20:02:49 Feb 02, 2004 We have found that this driver currently do not support the FT245AM chip. We list our device, that use the FT245AM as (currently) non-functional on Linux. This is currently beeing investigated and an uppdate is expected to appear shorly. http://www.qbik.ch/usb/devices/showdev.php?id=1992 -------> UPDATE June 26, 2004 We have positive reports that the chip should work on the latest release of the Linux kernel.

2003-06-05 06:41:02 It seems that this chip is pretty popular in all kinds of things that were originally connected to the serial port. If you can't find the manufacturer specific driver to your cell phone USB cable or such, try this.
