2005-03-14 01:06:50 DION-MX (ORACOM-100) requires a kernel patch when used with kernels 2.6.8 through 2.6.11 (and perhaps newer). See http://bugme.osdl.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3223 for details. In order to fix the kernel, find file drivers/usb/storage/unusual_devs.h in the source code of the kernel and add these lines to the end of this file: UNUSUAL_DEV( 0x0f19, 0x0101, 0x0100, 0x0100, "ORACOM", "Digital Audio", US_SC_DEVICE, US_PR_DEVICE, NULL, US_FL_IGNORE_RESIDUE ), Then re-compile kernel modules, install them, reboot your system and enjoy.

2005-01-20 05:12:04 The Dion MX worked fine for me with 2.4 kernels, but does not work anymore with 2.6.9 and 2.6.10 (Fedora Core 3). I think it's related to changes in the usb-storage driver, maybe because it sends an erroneous USB response, which was quietly ignored with 2.4 kernels, so it could be made work again. But be warned of the poor mechanical quality of the case, my battery lid fell of after 1 year using it.
