2003-09-01 03:32:44 I have Creative Labs WebCam Pro eX working under Redhat Beta (Severn pre-10) kernel 2.6-test4 I have a an ASUS A7V333 motherboard after trying several modules . the pwc driver did the trick gnomemeeting uses it flawlessly. Modules used: v4l1_compat pwc videodev cpia bttv ov511 usbvideo

2003-08-12 23:55:41 I got this webcam working using the philips webcam drivers located at http://www.smcc.demon.nl/webcam version 8.11 these drivers are meant to kernel 2.4.21 but they worked for me with 2.4.20. Unfortunatly it is also necessary to use the closed source kernel module pwcx or else I couldn't get any image from the camera. I'm using SuSE 8.2 with the original kernel plus the SuSE updates.
