2001-12-16 20:05:16 also, please change the following: Vendor Name = Creative Product Name = Webcam Go The title listed here is actually the imaging device model numbers. The Creative Webcam Go Plus is actually the next generation of this Webcam Go. Both use similar chips Winbond 9967/9968 I know of no other products that use the same Windond chips in any other webcam also....sooo....

2001-12-16 19:58:47 Now said to be partially working. (Please change the status) you'll need the cvs drivers: cvs -z3 -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.linux-usb.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/linux-usb co usbvideo You need to use, both from cvs, usbvideo.o & webcamgo(drv).o from the cvs to get it working. If you try to do webcamgo(drv).o from the cvs and usbvideo.o from kernel-2.4.16, it won't work (this is the config we're working on now. there were some changes in usbvideo.c/h since kernel 2.4.4.) If anybody wants to help, drop us a line at: http://sourceforge.net/projects/winbond-webcam/ http://www.keatch.f2s.com/linux.html

2001-04-20 19:08:48 I implemented some isochronous transfer to a libusb hack, and now I can recieve video on this device (Webcam Go)!!!! Can somebody please help me to make a kernel driver of this? I have commented source code to give to any interested person. Just mail me. Remember this code is for developers only. It is not ready for consumption by plain humans...

2001-04-18 03:09:59 I have made some code using libusb on sourceforge that reliably turns on the greenlight on the camera. My biggest problem right now is that libusb does not support isochronous transfers, and I really dont know yet how to add them if at all possible from userland. If any developer is interested i can mail the code snippet.

2000-11-07 12:53:27 Yea. i could have guessed that. all of there drive support is pretty thin lately. think it's cause of their new product lines, etc. I posted some info under the Webcam Go Plus site, until i noticed this one was under 'Winbond' instead of Creative (samething). I posted some logs/info from my recent attemts with usbutils. got teh power on (greenlight/beeps) on camera. results unrepeatable still.
