2002-02-15 22:16:19 The latest Logitech QuickCam Express ( = DEXXA, it seems) with USB ID 046b/0870 works with the latest qce-ga driver from SourceForge (http://qce-ga.sourceforge.net). A caveat: Using their CVS instructions for getting the latest driver, you need to use "cvs -z3 -p:" instead of "cvs -z3 p:" in the second line of their get-the-driver instructions (note the dash!). Alas, Logitech CLAIMS 640x480 resolution, but the CCD is only 320x200... :-(

2001-11-13 21:19:58 Got the dark blue DEXXA Webcam as it is currently sold in Austria (looks a lot like Logi's QuickCam, vendor=046d, prod.=0840). After trying (nearly) everything, the QuickCam driver finally worked ! (http://qce-ga.sourceforge.net/install.html) My Kernel is 2.4.9 on a Slackware 8.0 sytem, Video4Linux as well as USB as modules. Apps I tried: XAWTV :-) , Motion :-)) and gspy :-/ (segfault)

2001-10-15 19:51:35 vend/prod 0x46d/0x870 does not work. There is module at http://www.abo.fi/~jmunsin/hack.html which should work.

2001-08-08 00:16:14 I bought a Dexxa Webcam after reading this article and it does NOT work. It has a vendor/device ID of 46d/870 and the Quickcam driver complains that the sensor is not supported...
